Benelli Supernova
The Benelli supernova is one of the most enjoyable shotguns I’ve ever used. The pump action was incredibly smooth, and it was a clay pigeons worst nightmare. With a 28 inch barrel and a Realtree APG finish, it is a joy simply to look at. At eight pounds, it isn’t the quite the lightest scattergun you’ll ever use, but between the vented recoil pad and the ComforTech grip, it is still a joy to fire. I fired roughly forty rounds, without a single problem. In face, the pump- action was so smooth, it required nearly no effort at all. The red bar sight was clearly visible, regardless of sunlight exposure. But, in my opinion, the most important factor in choosing a shotgun is not ascetics (though that is important), but performance. In this category, the Benelli blew the competition out of the water. I was consistently more accurate with this gun than any other. With its polymer frame that was perfect for getting my eyes down the sights, and my shot down range, I was a shooting machine. The gun is not flawless, however. The largest drawback is the 4+1 magazine capacity, which is exceeded by many field shotguns. However, the performance is difficult to match, and with a gun like this, you may not need more than one shot.
